Title: Mould Maker (Freelance)

Reports to: Production / Site Manager

Job Purpose:

To produce high quality moulds of various creative applications using industry leading materials, tried and tested methodologies as well as development and improvisation of new moulding techniques to achieve the most accurate and cost-effective solutions.

Key areas of responsibility – Project specific duties:

To manufacture, moulds for new projects

Make reproductions constantly in a timely manner.

Ensure correct moulding techniques are used in various situations thus keeping within budget and keeping the delivery of products/props on time.

You may be asked to lead a team to produce project specific large-scale moulds.

We are looking for people with impressive creative ability along with a brilliant work ethic who do not mind getting their hands dirty!

Liaising with production manager to ensure correct procedures are followed and schedule updates provided.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience Essential:


You must be flexible and versatile, able to work with imagination and ingenuity.

You need to be creative and have problem-solving skills, and must be open to new ideas, and to learn new skills and techniques.

The ability to work to external deadlines, under their own initiative, is essential, as is an eye for detail and accuracy.

Work as part of the larger department, and at times as part of a team, you must have good communication skills and enjoy interacting with others.

As you can work with hazardous equipment and materials, an in-depth understanding of the requirements of the relevant health and safety legislation and procedures is vital to the role.


You should have a wide knowledge of the basics of mould making in various materials and techniques and the ability to work with a variety of different machinery and tools.

Driving licence

Computer literate

Experience of using CNC machinery
